Forged handrail for a period property in Rolvenden, Kent. The steel bar has been heated in the forge, shaped and roughly beaten down. Then the finished handrail was run under a wire cup brush and coated in a jacobean wax.
A wire brushed and lacquered finish can prove to be a cost-effective and attractive finish for interior steelwork; providing protection whilst letting textures in the steelwork show through. This small section of balustrade was made for Brindisa Tapas Kitchens, Soho, London.
The final touches underway on a set of automated gates. All components were possible have been forged in-house, which will give the finished gates something a little extra. The final installation will feature fully automated gates with colour video entry system.
